The 1925 City Directory lists Thomas Kelly Jr, beef; and Albert Welch, a physician, as residents of this house. The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows E.M. Murphy as the owner of this wood frame house. In 1930 this house was owned by Albert Welch, a 33-year old construction contractor. Albert lived with his 33-year old wife Eleanor (born in Pennsylvania); 4-year old son Albert Junior; 2-year old son John; 31-year old roomer Sarah Campbell, a registered nurse from Maine; and 20-year old Agnes O'Brien, a maid from Ireland. Part of this house was rented for $50 a month by Margaret Harrington, a 60-year old widow. Margaret lived with her 35-year old son Arthur, a manager for an insurance company; 33-year old daughter Mary, a public school teacher; and 30-year old daughter Agnes, a secretary for a travel bureau. The building was valued at $18,000. |
