James Barrett, a foreman; and Joseph Cote, a Boston police officer, are listed as residents of 589 Washington. Benjamin Aronovitch, a partner in Oak Square Hardware; and Mrs. Winifred Webster are listed as residents of 591 Washington.

The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows B. and E. Aronovitch as the owners of this wood frame structure.
