The 1925 City Directory lists John Clinton, a vulcanizer; Patrick Clinton, a laborer; and William Hufnagle, a chauffeur, as residents of this house. The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows Patrick Clinton as the owner of this house. In 1930 this house was owned by Patrick Clinton, a 55-year old laborer from Ireland. Patrick lived with his 55-year old Irish wife Bridget and their four children: 22-year old Mark, a silk goods salesman; 20-year old James, an insurance agent; Mildred, a 22-year old stenographer; and 25-year old Julia, a secretary for an art studio. Part of this house was rented for $25 a month by David Keane, a 24-year old assistant manager of a taxi company. David lived with his 34-year old wife Margaret and their three children: 6-year old Mary; 3-year old Francis; and 1-year old Marilyn. The building was valued at $5,000. |
