This three-story multi-family house was built in 1915. The 1916 Bromley Atlas shows John Greenwood as the owner of the empty lot where this house was built. The 1926 City Directory lists John Hurley, a manager; Alvah Hutchinson, a Boston police officer; and Axel Johnson, a salesman, as residents of this house. The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows Charles Lawson as the owner of this house. In 1930 part of this house was rented for $40 a month by Anthony Cadrone, a 25-year old gardener from Italy. Anthony lived with his 24-year old Irish wife Molly and their 1-year old daughter Margaret. Another part of this house was rented for $40 a month by Harry Thornton, a 27-year old from Ohio who worked for a credit bureau. Harry lived with his 21-year old wife Lora and their infant daughter Prudence. Another part of this house was rented for $40 a month by Armand Maclean, a 42-year old bus driver from New Hampshire. |
