Thomas lived with his 40-year old Canadian wife Mary and their three children: 12-year old Thomas, 11-year old Mary, and 7-year old Robert. Part of this house was rented for $43 a month by John Brereton, a 58-year old grocery clerk from Ireland. John lived with his 50-year old Irish wife Elizabeth and their two daughters: 24-year old Mary, a clerk for an electric company; and 20-year old Anne, a clerk for an electric company. Another part of this house was rented for $40 a month by Andrew Douglas, a 40-year old from Scotland who worked as a manager for a milk company. Andrew lived with his 46-year old Irish wife Mary and their four children: 19-year old Helen, 17-year old Mary, 15-year old John, and 8-year old Patricia. The building was valued at $13,000. |
