The 1925 City Directory lists Charles Jefferson, a foreman, as a resident of 34 Turner. Mary Crowley is listed as a resident of 36 Turner. The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows E. Burke as the owner of this house. In 1930 part of this house was rented for $45 a month by Ellen Graham, a 56-year old widow from Ireland. Ellen lived in 34 Turner with her two daughters: 36-year old Mary, a stenographer for a railroad; and 26-year old Madeline, a switchboard operator for a railroad. 36 Turner was rented for $45 a month by Joseph Pettipos, a 39-year old carpenter from Canada. Joseph lived with his 33-year old Canadian wife Helen and their two children: 1-year old Veronica and infant Joseph. |
