This multi-family house was built in 1910 and rises two stories to a slate roof.

The 1916 Bromley Atlas shows Annie Canning as the owner of this house.

The 1925 City Directory lists John Canning, a rectifier, as a resident of 26 Turner. Frank Joyce, an advertising solicitor, is listed as a resident of 28 Turner.

In 1930 this house was owned by John Canning, a 66-year old wholesale drug salesman from England. John lived in 26 Turner with his 64-year old wife Annie (born in Maine) and their 28-year old daughter Mary, a secretary for a law firm. 28 Turner was rented for $65 a month by Joseph Brennan, a 50-year old lawyer. Joseph lived with his 45-year old wife Emily, a social worker; 17-year old niece Helen Callahan; and Mary McManus, a 55-year old Irish housekeeper. The building was valued at $10,000.
