This three-story multi-family house was built in 1915. A renovation was performed in 1975. The 1916 Bromley Atlas shows George and Harris Etter as the owners of this house. The 1925 City Directory lists Joseph Flynn, a plumber; George Fogg; Mrs. Margaret Grady; and James Sullivan, an electrician, as residents of this house. The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows M.A. Flynn as the owner of this house. In 1930 part of this house was rented for $45 a month by Helen Dutton, a 59-year old widow. Helen lived with her 26-year old son Warren, a driver for the US Post Office; 7-year old granddaughter Ruth; and 39-year old daughter Sadie Hadley, a private nurse. Another part of this house was rented for $42 a month by George Fogg, an 80-year old tea importer. George lived with his 75-year old wife Priscilla. Another part of this house was rented for $42 a month by Margaret Grady, a 50-year old divorcee who worked as a saleswoman in a department store. Margaret lived with her 53-year old brother John Sullivan, an electrician for a theater; and 41-year old cousin Catherine Sullivan, a clerk for Western Union. |
