This wood frame house was built sometime before 1916.

The 1916 Bromley Atlas shows Mary Ducey as the owner of this house.

The 1925 City Directory lists William Eaton, an investigator, as a resident of 139 Tremont. Michael Henahan, a machinist, is listed as a resident of 141 Tremont.

In 1930 this house was owned by Mary Eaton, a 38-year old widow who worked as a secretary for the electric company. Mary lived in 139 Tremont with her 11-year old daughter Doria. 141 Tremont was rented for $29 a month by Thomas Fallon, a 28-year old driver for a coal company. Thomas lived with his 33-year old Canadian wife Theresa and their 3-year old son Thomas Junior. The building was valued at $3,500.
