This multi-family three-story brick house was built in 1916 and renovated in 1989. The 1916 Bromley Atlas shows Ellen Bingham as the owner of this house. The 1924 City Directory lists John Allen as a resident of 9 Tip Top. The 1925 City DIrectory lists Carroll Hooper, a salesman; and Leon Wilcoxson, carpets and rugs, as residents of 11 Tip Top. In 1925 this house was owned by R. Caverly according to the 1925 Bromley Atlas. In 1930 this house was owned by Arthur Stockdale, a 29-year old police officer. Arthur lived with his 31-year old wife Charlotte and their three children: 10-year old Gertrude; 8-year old Arthur; and 5-year old William. The building was valued at $5,500. |
