In 1930 this house was owned by William O'Donnell, a 73-year old retiree. William lived in 26 Tip Top with his four children: 50-year old Frances, a secretary for an insurance company; 47-year old Anna; 40-year old Helen, a clerk for the City of Boston; and 30-year old Bernard, an accountant. 28 Tip Top was rented for $55 a month by George Carmichael, a 42-year old auto salesman from Scotland. George lived with his 36-year old wife Olive. The building was valued at $15,000.
