The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows Thomas Connolly et al as the owners of the empty lot where this house was built.

In 1930 this house was owned by Daniel MacLean, a 32-year old accountant. Daniel lived in 11 Rose Garden with his 31-year old wife Agnes and their three children: 7-year old Evelyn, 5-year old Daniel Junior, and 4-year old John. 9 Rose Garden was rented for $75 a month by Jack Penn, a 32-year old dentist. Jack lived with his 24-year old wife Rina and their 3-year old son Frederick. The building was valued at $12,000.
