In 1930 this house was owned by James Devlin, a 52-year old Boston municipal court judge. James lived with his 50-year old wife Eleanor, a registered nurse, and their eight children: 18-year old Mary, 17-year old Eleanor, 15-year old Frances, 14-year old Jana, 13-year old James, 11-year old Joseph, 9-year old Arthur, and 4-year old John. The building was valued at $8,000.
