In 1930 part of this house was rented for $70 a month by Samuel Lapp, a 43-year old druggist from Russia. Samuel lived with his 41-year old Norwegian wife Violet and their two children: 12-year old Virginia and 6-year old Richard. Another part of this house was rented for $125 a month by Alfred Cook, a 43-year old restaurant owner from Russia. Alfred lived with his 43-year old Russian wife Sarah.
