Thomas lived in 9 Perthshire with his 43-year old Irish wife Della; 29-year old brother Michael, an odd-jobs laborer; 15-year old daughter Margaret; 12-year old daughter Agnes; and 9-year old daughter Mary. 11 Perthshire was rented for $45 a month by Daniel O'Keefe, a 31-year old automobile spring salesman. Daniel lived with his 30-year old wife Florence and their three children: 4-year old Rosamund, 3-year old Irene, and infant Leo. The building was valued at $7,500.
