This multi-family house was built in 1920 and rises two stories to an asphalt roof. A renovation was performed in 2000.

The 1916 Bromley Atlas shows John Mainland as the owner of the empty lot where this house was built.

The 1925 City Directory lists Fred Hanson, a manager; and James Roche, a salesman, as residents of this house.

In 1930 this house was owned by James Roche, a 36-year old building materials salesman. James lived with his 35-year old wife Marian and their two daughters: 6-year old Marian and 5-year old Virginia. Part of this house was rented for $50 a month by Frank Pierce, a 36-year old printing salesman. Frank lived with his 34-year old wife Mary. The building was valued at $14,000.
