This multi-family house was built around 1925 and rises two stories to an asphalt roof. The 1916 Bromley Atlas and 1925 Bromley Atlas show John O'Callaghan as the owner of the empty lot this house was built on. In 1930 this house was owned by Anastasia Moran, a 76-year old widow from Ireland. Anastasia lived in 65 Perthshire with her four children: 46-year old Dave, a suede importer; 43-year old Thomas, a clerk for a textile company; 41-year old Michael, a book finisher for a bindery; and 37-year old Ellen. 63 Perthshire was rented for $60 a month by Joseph Devaney, a 32-year old sales promoter for an advertising company. Joseph lived with his 32-year old wife Madeline and their 5-year old daughter Margaret. The building was valued at $14,000. |
