27-29 Perthshire Road

This brick multi-family house was built around 1925 and rises two stories to an asphalt roof. A renovation was performed in 2003.

The 1916 Bromley Atlas and 1925 Bromley Atlas show F.C. and R.F. Wight as the owners of the empty lot this house was built on.

In 1930 this house was owned by Antonio DeGiacomo, a 49-year old tailor from Italy. Antonio lived in 27 Perthshire with his 45-year old Italian wife Teresa and their five children: 22-year old John; 20-year old Telomena, a telephone operator; 18-year old Angelina, a telephone operator; 15-year old Anthony; and 7-year old Frederick. 29 Perthshire was rented for $50 a month by Daniel Hickey, a 34-year old accountant for an automobile company. Daniel lived with his 34-year old wife Ruth (born in Maine) and their two sons: 5-year old John and infant Donald. The building was valued at $8,500.
