This brick multi-family house was built in 1900 and rises three stories to an asphalt roof. The 1925 City Directory lists Margaret Murphy, the widow of Peter Murphy; Dennis Rourke, a druggist; and Mary Rourke, a teacher, as residents of this house. The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows Margaret Murphy as the owner of this house. In 1930 this house was rented for $35 a month by Dennis Rouike, a 55-year old druggist. Dennis lived with his 48-year old wife Julia and their three children: 27-year old Mary, a public school teacher; 23-year old Mildred, a public school teacher; and 10-year old John. |
