The 1916 Bromley Atlas shows George Wattendorf as the owner of the empty lot where this house was built. The 1925 City Directory lists Benjamin Loudon as a resident of 21 Oliva. John lived in 21 Oliva with his 38-year old Canadian wife Margaret and 2-year old Barbara Smith. 19 Oliva was rented for $40 a month by John Picot, a 30-year old from Canada who worked as a toolmaker for Shawmut Engineering. John lived with his 23-year old Canadian wife Winifred and their 1-year old daughter Marion. The building was valued at $8,000. |
