This brick multi-family house was built in 1925 and rises two stories to an asphalt roof. The 1925 City Directory lists Katherine Cronin, the widow of John Cronin; Mary Cronin; and Ralph Stevens, an auto mechanic, as residents of this house. The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows Mary Cronin as the owner of this house. In 1930 this house was owned by Mary Cronin, a 46-year old clerk for a department store. Part of this house was rented by Francis McNally, a 54-year old smelting company employee. Francis lived with his four children: 19-year old Edith, 14-year old Leslie, 17-year old Walter, a clerk in a grocery store, and 11-year old Nellie. The building was valued at $5,000. |
