79 Oakland Street

This Colonial house was built around 1925 and rises two stories to an asphalt roof.

The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows James Sweeney as the owner of the empty lot this house was built on.

In 1930 this house was owned by John Hayes, a 35-year old from Vermont who worked as a bookkeeper for a wholesale market. John lived with his 33-year old wife Wilhemina and their two children: 12-year old Dorothy and 13-year old John. The building was valued at $7,000.
