This multi-family house was built in 1930 and rises two stories to an asphalt roof. A renovation was performed in 1998. The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows Lewis and Anna Lenkner as the owners of the empty lot this house was built on. In 1930 part of this house was rented for $55 a month by Charles Howley, a 45-year old grocery store manager. Charles lived with his 43-year old wife Sarah and their six childen: 24-year old Robert, a bookbinder for a publishing company; 18-year old Gertrude, a bookkeeper in a store; 16-year old Monica, a clerk in a furniture office; 13-year old Winifred, 11-year old Leo, and infant Edward. Another part of this house was rented for $60 a month by Emilo Oliva, a 49-year old tailor from Italy. Emilo lived with his 44-year old Italian wife Margaret and their three sons: 24-year old Victor, 22-year old Albert, and 19-year old Alfred. |
