This brick multi-family house was built around 1925 and rises two stories to an asphalt roof. The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows M.W. Palmer as the owner of this house. In 1930 part of this house was rented for $45 a month by James Connova, a 54-year old foreman for the City of Boston. James lived with his 42-year old wife Genevieve and their two sons: 15-year old Lester and 14-year old Frederick. Another part of this house was rented for $52 a month by Walter Walken, a 51-year old machinist for Bethlehem Steel. Walter lived with his 53-year old Canadian wife Mary; 31-year old son-in-law Joseph Kendall, a railroad fireman; 34-year old step-daughter Anne Kendall; 10-year old granddaughter Doris; and 8-year old son Freeman. |
