This brick house was built in 1970 and rises two stories to an asphalt roof. The 1925 City Directory lists Edward Scott, a door man, as a resident of this house. The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows E.H. and E.G. Scott as the owners of a wood frame house that occupied this lot. In 1930 this house was owned by James O'Brien, a 39-year old carpenter from Ireland who worked for the City of Boston. James lived with his 38-year old Irish wife Sarah and their five children: 7-year old James, 5-year old John, 3-year old William, 1-year old Alice, and infant Anne. The building was valued at $3,000. |
