This brick multi-family house was built in 1925 and rises two stories to an asphalt roof. A renovation was performed in 1980. The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows Arthur Long as the owner of the empty lot this house was built on. In 1930 this house was owned by Anne Neville, a 60-year old public school teacher. Anne lived with her 57-year old sister Helen; 70-year old half-sister Catherine Dunphy, a dress maker; 18-year old niece Elizabeth Meade; and 16-year old nephew Robert. Part of this house was rented for $50 a month by James McDonough, a 44-year old salesman for a biscuit company. James lived with his 48-year old sister Alice (born in Ireland), and his 40-year old sister Ellen, a secretary for an automobile company. The building was valued at $14,000. |
