This brick multi-family house was built in 1930 and rises two stories to an asphalt roof. A renovation was performed in 1997. The 1925 City Directory lists Antonio DeNapoli; John Hennessy, a doorman; and Joseph Wenger, an electrician, as residents of this house. The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows J.A. Wenger, et al as the owners of a wood frame house that occupied this lot. In 1930 this house was owned by Joseph Wenger, a 34-year old supervisor for the telephone company. Joseph lived with his 31-year old wife Mary and their three sons: 5-year old Robert, 2-year old Paul, and infant Donald. Part of this house was rented for $53 a month by William Colford, a 38-year old automobile mechanic. William lived with his 32-year old wife Elizabeth and their 10-year old son Robert. The building was valued at $11,000. |
