This three-story multi-family house was built in 1900.

The 1916 Bromley Atlas shows Minnie Jones as the owner of this house.

The 1924 City Directory lists Arthur Innis, an automobile repairer, as a resident of 70 Oak Square.

The 1925 City Directory lists Annie Call, secretary of the Franklin Union Technical Institute; and John McGillivray, an investigator, as residents of 70 Oak Square.

The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows Charles Collar as the owner of this building.

The 1930 Census lists part of 70 Oak Square as rented for $67.50 a month by Robert Wallace, a 45-year old leather salesman. Robert lived in 70 Oak Square with his 73-year old mother Valetta and his 39-year old wife Ruth. Part of 70 Oak Square was rented for $65 a month by Catherine Ryan, a 70-year old widow. Another part of 70 Oak Square was rented for $62 a month by Annie Call, a 65-year old secretary. Annie lived with 53-year old Louise McBain, a boarder who worked as a bookkeeper.
