This brick multi-family house was built in 1925 and rises two stories to a slate roof.

The 1925 City Directory lists Ellen Supple as a resdent of 88 Nonantum.

The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows P.J. and N.M. Connelly as the owners of this house.

In 1930 part of this house was rented for $45 a month by Jeremiah Coakley, a 34-year old clerk in City Hall. Jeremiah lived in 88 Nonantum with his 31-year old wife Rose and their two sons: 2-year old Paul and infant Gerald. 90 Nonantum was rented for $45 a month by James Phillips, a 31-year old steamfitter. James lived with his 33-year old Canadian wife Sadie, a registered nurse.
