The 1916 Bromley Atlas shows W.P. Neal as the owner of 14 Newton and the heirs of Thomas Neil as the owners of 16 Newton.

The 1925 City Directory lists Leslie Ellsbree, assistant treasurer of the Clearing House Parcel Delivery Company, as a resident of 14 Newton. Thomas Neal, a clerk, is listed as a resident of 16 Newton.

The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows L.F. Ellsbree as the owner of 14 Newton and T.F. Neal as the owner of 16 Newton.

In 1930, 14 Newton was owned by Leslie Ellsbree, a 41-year old from Connecticut who worked as the assistant manager of a parcel delivery service. Leslie lived with his 41-year old Canadian wife Beatrice and their three children: 17-year old John, 16-year old Dorothy, and 12-year old Paul. 16 Newton was owned by Thomas Neal, a 46-year old railroad claims investigator. Thomas lived with his 36-year old wife Helen and their four children: 11-year old Frank, 10-year old Marie, 8-year old Helen, and 5-year old Grace. 14 Newton was valued at $5,000 and 16 Newton was valued at $6,500.
