This brick multi-family house was built in 1900 and rises three stories to an asphalt roof. A renovation was performed in 1992. The 1916 Bromley Atlas shows Robert and A.E. Dalzell as the owners of this house. The 1925 City Directory lists Robert Dalzell, a carpenter, as a resident of 47 Newcastle; and Arthur Morrison, an engineer, as a resident of 49 Newcastle. Daniel lived in 47 Newcastle with his 25-year old Irish wife Theresa and their two sons: 4-year old Daniel Junior and 1-year old Norman. The building was valued at $12,000. |
