This brick multi-family house was built in 1911 and rises three stories to an asphalt roof.

The 1916 Bromley Atlas shows Mary Stotz as the owner of this house.

The 1925 City Directory lists Patrick Nagle, a chauffeur, as a resident of 28 Newcastle. Herman C. Stotz, a student; and Herman G. Stotz are listed as residents of 30 Newcastle.

The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows P.T. and N.A. Nagle as the owners of this house.

In 1930 this house was owned by Patrick Nagle, a 40-year old chauffeur. Patrick lived in 28 Newcastle with his 39-year old Irish wife Nora. 30 Newcastle was rented for $43 a month by Thomas Kelly, a 67-year old foreman for an oil company. Thomas lived with his 25-year old daughter Mary, a stenographer; 15-year old daughter Claire; and 52-year old sister-in-law Clara Donahue (born in Canada). The building was valued at $9,000.
