39 Mount Vernon Street

The 1925 City Directory lists Katherine Bennett, the widow of Francis Bennett; and Thomas Burke, superintendent of service for the Autocar Company, as residents of this house.

The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows Catherine Bennett as the owner of this house.

In 1930 this house was owned by Cameron Trodella, a 38-year old wholesale florist from Italy. Cameron lived with his 39-year old wife Gladys (born in Nova Scotia) and their infant daughter Gladys. Part of this house was rented for $30 a month by Clarence Atkinson, a 32-year old butler from Canada. Clarence lived with his 32-year old Canadian wife Agnes and their two children: 12-year old Eva and 8-year old Clarence Junior. The building was valued at $1,500.
