The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows Delia Elberry as the owner of the empty lot where this house was built. In 1930 this house was owned by Annie Merrill, a 61-year old widow from Ireland. Annie lived with her two children: 27-year old George, a house painter; and 25-year old Frances, a clerk for the New England Telephone Company. Part of this house was rented for $60 a month by William Arsenault, a 33-year old laborer for the City of Boston. William lived with his 24-year old wife Rosie (born in Texas), a waitress. The building was valued at $12,000. |
