Construction on this Roman Catholic convent began in 1922.

The 1925 City Directory lists the Convent of the Cenacle as the occupant of this building.

In 1930, the convent was occupied by 43 convent members under the supervision of Mother Superior Helen Mallory, a 49-year old from New York. The building was valued at $250,000.
