The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows Mary Gardiner and J. Scott McLearn as the owners of the empty lot where this house was built.

In 1930 part of this house was rented for $125 a month by Isadore Rubin, a 28-year old garment merchant. Isadore lived with his 28-year old wife Hannah and their two children: 6-year old Winifred and 3-year old Donald. Another part of this house was rented for $125 a month by David Gophan, a 54-year old garment merchant from Russia. David lived with his 54-year old Russian wife Fannie; 19-year old daughter Louise; and 24-year old maid Mary Scanlon.
