17 Kirkwood Road

This two-family house was designed by John Mahoney and built in 1940 by Paul Livoli of Watertown on property owned by Paul Livoli. This 2.5 story wood framed house rises 25 feet from a 20 inch stone foundation to a hip roof with asphalt shingles. The facade is brick veneer. The original construction was performed at a cost of $6,000. During construction, the plans were amended to include a two-car garage in the basement.

The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows Daniel Hyde as the owner of the empty lot where this house was built.

By 1977 the house was owned by Chuck Leung.

The original wooden gutters were replaced with modern aluminum guttering in 1977.

By 1998 the house was owned by Hung Szeto.

In 1998 the original real porch was replaced with an addition of the same size and the roof was replaced.
