This multi-family house was constructed in 1925, renovated in 1980, and subsequently converted to condos. The 1925 City Directory lists Philip Bird; Walter Blewett, a baker; Russell Boardman, a salesman; H. Brown; Mrs. Priscilla Bryenton; Frank Farrell; Mrs. Pauline Farrell; and Barney Kravit, a salesman, as residents of this house. The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows J.E. and M. May as the owners of this house. In 1930 part of this house was rented for $65 a month by Williston Bacon, a 50-year old real estate agent. Williston lived with his 50-year old wife Viola and their 20-year old son Arthur, a messenger for a brokerage firm. Another part of this house was rented for $75 a month by Elizabeth Miller, a 79-year old widow from Ireland. Elizabeth lived with her 55-year old divorced daughter Minnie Pack, a secretary for an insurance company. Another part of this house was rented for $60 a month by Arthur Sternberg, a 64-year old clothing company owner. Arthur lived with his 55-year old wife Hattie (born in New Jersey); 22-year old son Arthur, a shoe salesman; 25-year old daughter Theresa; 36-year old daughter Secil Selig, a stenographer for an instruments manufacturer; and 3-year old grandson Arthur Selig (born in Colorado). |
