This brick Colonial house was built around 1925 and rises two stories to an asphalt roof. The 1916 Bromley Atlas and 1925 Bromley Atlas show James Knowles as the owner of the empty lot this house was built on. In 1930 this house was owned by Alice Worcester, a 35-year old manicurist. Alice lived with her 19-year old sister Alberta; 35-year old cousin Julia Morrissey, a hospital nurse from Connecticut; and two boarders: Beatrice Moss, a 55-year old private nurse; and Frank Hobart, a 30-year old railroad laborer from Maine. The building was valued at $8,500. |
