This house was constructed sometime after 1925.

The 1916 Bromley Atlas shows William Ambler as the owner of the empty lot where this house was built.

The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows C. Rosenberg as the owner of the empty lot this house was constructed on.

In 1930 this house was owned by Anton Schafer, a 63-year old meat market proprietor from Germany. Anton lived with his 63-year old German wife Catherine; 30-year old daughter Catherine, a secretary for a silver company; 16-year old niece Alberta Otto; and 11-year old nephew Paul Otto. The building was valued at $12,000.
