This multi-family house was built in 1900 and rises three stories to an asphalt roof.

The 1916 Bromley Atlas shows William Quigley as the owner of this house.

The 1924 City Directory lists William Quigley, an architect and builder, as a resident of this house.

The 1925 City Directory lists Blanche Chase, the widow of Steven Chase; James Gorman; and Charles Green, a clerk, as residents of this house.

The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows Margaret Barrett as the owner of this house.

In 1930 this house was owned by John Barrett, a 54-year old boiler inspector from Ireland. John lived with his 44-year old Irish wife Margaret and their five children: 12-year old Mary, 10-year old William, 9-year old Rita, 5-year old Margaret, and 2-year old John. Part of this house was rented for $45 a month by Edward McGee, a 35-year old policeman for the City of Boston. Edward lived with his 33-yearold wife Mildred and their infant daughter Alice. Another part of this house was rented for $25 a month by John O'Callahan, a 29-year old taxi driver. John lived with his 29-year old wife Nora, a stenographer for an automotive company. The building was valued at $11,000.
