The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows the Federal Trust Company as the owner of the empty lot this house was built on.

In 1930 this house was owned by Avared Slocum, a 34-year old ice dealer from Canada. Avared lived with his 29-year old wife Susie and their 6-year old son Laurence. Part of this house was rented for $42 a month by Frank Griffin, a 26-year old delivery truck driver. Frank lived with his 25-year old wife Mary.
