164 Faneuil Street

This multi-family house was built in 1930 and rises two stories to an asphalt roof.

The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows the Federal Trust Company as the owner of the empty lot this house was built on.

In 1930 this house was owned by Harvey Boynton, a 50-year old machinist. Harvey lived with his 47-year old Irish wife Celia and his two nieces: 22-year old Mary Lanagan (born in England), a checker for a rubber company; and 21-year old Charlotte (born in Ireland), an examiner for a wire company. Part of this house was rented for $45 a month by John Lawson, a 49-year old upholsterer from Kentucky. John lived with his 41-year old wife Carrie and their three daughters: 19-year old Dorothy, 10-year old Lydia; and 5-year old Joy. The building was valued at $9,500.
