This brick multi-family house was built in 1910 and rises two stories to an asphalt roof.

The 1916 Bromley Atlas shows the heirs of Mary Dalton as the owners of this house.

The 1925 City Directory lists Patrick Cronin, a motorman, as a resident of 8 Fairbanks.

In 1930 this house was owned by Patrick Cronin, a 61-year old street car operator from Ireland. Patrick lived in 10 Fairbanks with his 56-year old Irish wife Ellen; 21-year old daughter Mary, a secretary; 17-year old daughter Ellen; and 21-year old nephew John, a cashier for an insurance company. 8 Fairbanks was rented for $35 a month by John McBryne, a 32-year old chef from Ireland. John lived with his 24-year old Irish wife Nellie. The building was valued at $9,000.
