The 1925 City Directory lists Thomas Hopkins, an accountant, as a resident of this house. The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows T.W. and M.M. Hopkins as the owners of this house. In 1930 this house was owned by Thomas Hopkins, a 42-year old accountant for a transportation company. Thomas lived with his 42-year old wife Margaret; his 70-year old widowed mother-in-law Thomasina Downing (born in Ireland); and his four children: 7-year old Thomas, 6-year old Margaret, 3-year old Joseph, and 1-year old Richard. The building was valued at $7,000. |
