This three-story multi-family house was built in 1910. The 1916 Bromley Atlas shows Robert Jones as the owner of this house. The 1925 City Directory lists Robert Miln, an assistant service manager; George Minty, a carpenter; and Bertram Purchase, a carpenter, as residents of this house. The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows E.J. and A. Lennon as the owners of this house. In 1930 part of this house was rented for $43 a month by Daniel Marley, a 44-year old bricklayer. Daniel lived with his 45-year old wife Martha and Walter Brown, a 17-year old boarder. Another part of this house was rented for $44 a month by Eugene Jones, a 32-year old draftsman who worked in City Hall. Eugene lived with his 33-year old wife Maud (born in Maine). Another part of this house was rented for $43 a month by George Mason, a 59-year old wool handler from Canada. George lived with his 49-year old Canadian wife Elizabeth and their four children: 23-year old Fredova, a telephone operator; 21-year old Josephine, a stenographer for an insurance company; 16-year old Thomas; and 14-year old Elizabeth. |
