8 Duncklee Street

This brick multi-family house was built in 1930 and rises two stories to an asphalt roof.

The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows the Federal Trust Company as the owner of the empty lot this house was built on.

In 1930 part of this house was rented for $50 a month by Louis Gallagher, a 29-year old bookbinder. Louis lived with his 28-year old wife Mary (born in New Hampshire) and his 38-year old uncle Samuel Ruden, a baker. Another part of this house was rented for $50 a month by John Higgins, a 50-year old machinist. John lived with his 53-year old wife Minnie.
