This multi-family house was built in 1910 and rises three stories to an asphalt roof. The 1916 Bromley Atlas shows H.O. Fletcher, et al, as the owners of this house. The 1925 City Directory lists Leo Birmingham, an undertaker; Michael Birmingham, an electrician; Ray Birmingham, a clerk; and William Birmingham, an electrician, as residents of 64 Donnybrook. Ruby Bramley, the widow of Walter Bramley, is listed as a resident of 66 Donnybrook. The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows M.F. Birmingham as the owner of this house. In 1930 part of this house was rented for $50 a month by John Prince, a 37-year old auto mechanic from Northern Ireland. John lived in 64 Donnybrook with his 32-year old Irish wife Agnes; their 5-year old son John (born in Canada); 23-year old Irish sister-in-law Helena Heffron, a private nurse; and 24-year old Irish sister-in-law Josephine Heffron, also a private nurse. 66 Donnybrook was rented for $40 a month by Nora Curley, a 28-year old inspector in a rubber factory. Nora lived with her 26-year old sister Anna, an office worker for a law firm; and 24-year old sister Celia, an office worker for an insurance company. |
