Leary as the owner of this house. In 1930 this house was owned by William Leary, a 58-year old carpenter from Canada. William lived in 47 Donnybrook with his 59-year old Canadian wife Elizabeth; 28-year old son Melvin, a taxi driver; 23-year old daughter-in-law Olive (born in New Hampshire); and 1-year old granddaughter Elizabeth. 49 Donnybrook was rented for $50 a month by Roy Higgins, a 44-year old dairy salesman. Roy lived with his 46-year old wife Helen; 22-year old son Robert, a car salesman; and 23-year old daughter-in-law Adale (born in Connecticut), a stenographer in a real estate office. The building was valued at $11,000. |
