In 1930 part of this house was rented for $50 a month by George Burke, a 25-year old district manager for an advertising company. George lived with his 26-year old wife Florence; 1-year old daughter Jeanne; and 64-year old English father John Burke, a shoe cutter in a shoe factory. Another part of this house was rented for $50 a month by Samuel DeMarco, a 28-year old barber from Italy. Samuel lived with his 28-year old Italian wife Lillian and their two daughters: 6-year old Marie and 1-year old Mildred.
